Last weekend, during the Wolverines’ 1,000th all-time win — a 31-24 victory over Maryland at SECU Stadium — Michigan football linebacker Michael Barrett went down with an injury. While he ultimately returned against the Terrapins, his shoulder injury status was in question ahead of this weekend’s bout against No. 2 Ohio State at the Big House; however, he gave a positive update on Tuesday evening.

Michigan football linebacker getting close to 100% heading into Ohio State game

There are a few Michigan football stars who are a bit banged up right now, though it sounds like no Wolverines are going to miss this weekend’s game against Ohio State at the Big House.

Micahel Barrett updates shoulder injury

Michael Barrett, a sixth-year linebacker for the Maize and Blue, has been on both the winning and losing sides of this rivalry, and with perhaps the most important Michigan-Ohio State game of all time just a few days out, he is not about to miss “The Game” for anything.

“It has been going great,” Michigan football linebacker Michael Barrett said Tuesday. “It feels way better. Treatment has been going good, so I’ll be ready to go on Saturday — definitely. Nothing is going to stop me from (playing against Ohio State).”

Other suspected injuries include Myles Hinton, LaDarius Henderson, Roman Wilson, and perhaps even JJ McCarthy. That said, having some bumps and bruises is normal for late-November football, and all of these Wolverines are likely going to be ready to play on Saturday — 100% or not.
