Spooked by the sound of concrete falling off a walkway at a nearby construction site, a group of military horses bolted and dropped their riders before racing loose through the streets of London on Wednesday morning, reports the Associated Press.
Four riders were unseated, and five horses were reported to have bolted from their routine exercises near Buckingham Palace. Three soldiers were hospitalized as a result of their injuries.

Two of the horses were involved in vehicular accidents: one collided with a taxi, and another with a tour bus. No report was available on the medical condition of the horses, and all were reported to have returned to the military stables, but one horse was seen with significant blood accumulation on its face, chest, and legs.
“All of the horses have now been recovered and returned to camp,” an army spokesperson told AP. “A number of personnel and horses have been injured and are receiving the appropriate medical attention.”
