NFL gifts Eagles HC Nick Sirianni the ninth-easiest schedule
Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

All eyes will be on Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni in 2024 after he dropped a 10-1 start last fall, losing six of their final seven matchups.

There's even a possibility that he could be fired if the Eagles don't get back on track to their Super Bowl-contending ways this fall.

Thankfully, the NFL is helping Sirianni out by giving him one of the easiest schedules.

Every year, Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis ranks teams' strength of schedule based on Vegas' projected win totals for the upcoming season. He doesn't base it off the standard last year's record model and it makes a lot more sense, because of all the change teams go through during the offseason.

Sharp has the Eagles' strength of schedule as the ninth-easiest. The Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, and Baltimore Ravens have the toughest schedules this year, as you can see below:

For starters, after they return to the States from their Brazil trip, the Eagles face three NFC South teams. Everyone knows that the NFC South division is still a joke.

They will then get a Week 5 bye to rest before having to take on the Cleveland Browns, which is their first toughest matchup of the season. It's a home game too.

Speaking of bye weeks, the Eagles don't play anyone coming off a bye week this fall.

There's also no long stretch of powerhouse teams that the Eagles need to face in 2024 like they did last year when they played the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, and San Francisco 49ers in a row.

But possibly their biggest break comes at the end of the year when the Eagles don't have to get on a plane for their final five matchups. That could make up for their early bye week.

Sure, this means that the Eagles will play on the road for a majority of the first half of the season but it's nice to know they will be home for much of the second half --when wins matter the most.
