AEW World Title Match Set For AEW Dynasty

Swerve Strickland will challenge for the gold at AEW Dynasty.

Swerve Strickland has had his sights set on the world title in recent months. He challenged Samoa Joe for the gold in a three-way match that included Hangman Page at AEW Revolution, where Joe made Page tap out. Strickland has continued his quest ever since, and he has gained more momentum since then.

On the March 27 episode of AEW Dynamite, Strickland defeated Konosuke Takeshita in a #1 Contender’s Match. The broadcast team then confirmed that Strickland would challenge Joe for the title at AEW Dynasty on March 21.

Samoa Joe then briefly commented on Strickland’s win and their looming clash.
